The digital world is evolving rapidly. Tech skills are now a vital part of each and every job. Opportunities are available everywhere for people with these skills but Uganda's rural youth are being left out.
While their urban counterparts have access to digital skills, affordable internet and electricity, all these are still a luxury in the rural areas. Internet is too expensive, and access to a computer is still a luxury. However, they shouldn't be left behind, and because we care about their future, we are deciding to act. At CAS Academy, we advocate for equal opportunities for all youth in the digital economy, regardless of where they come from.
We provide training in basic computer use, graphic design, web development and mobile app development.
Code and Smile Academy
We support these youth through intense training in 4 key areas.
Basic Computer Use
We train the youth in basic computer use, including how to use a computer, internet browsing, microsoft applications, and online safety.
Digital Marketing
We provide training in digital marketing, including social media marketing, content creation, and online branding.
Graphics Design
We teach the youth how to design graphics using tools like Canva and Adobe Photoshop, enabling them to create professional-looking designs.
Web Development
We provide training in web design and development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React.js and Node.js.
